Description

I have created a way to easily swap the skin surrounding your Prusa Core One. The only additional hardware required will be any size magnets that you have on hand; they don't even have to all be the same size! There is space for led strip lights, so that is extra "hardware" if you want to RGB!

Installation

The feet will need to be swapped with slightly taller, TPU printed feet to allow more clearance for the bottom frame covers. I used 3M double sided tape to attach the new feet to the frame.

Place a magnet on a rectangular space along the base piece. Lock the magnet in place by snapping a magnet cover in-between the vertical dividers. Use the magnet cover joints to connect base pieces. Depending on the strength of your magnets, you may only need to place a magnet under one side of the joint connections.

Attach a base piece to each of the flat outer edges of the frame.

Install LED strip lights by sticking the lights on the base pieces and over the magnet covers. I routed my lights starting from a bottom rear corner.

Snap the corners on by aligning the tabs with each base piece. Use the corner piece with an opening to route the power cable for the LED strip lights.
