Air filter

Air filter based on the Nevermore Micro. Optimized for ease of printing and assembly.

The vent is printed as a separate part, and flat, so it can be popped into the plenum and cartridge.

Hardware / materials:

• Activated carbon
  • Be careful of which carbon you choose, some can corrode your machine.
  • I use EnviroSupply Premium 4mm Pellet Virgin Bituminous Coal Activated Carbon Charcoal
• 6x3mm round magnets
  • I use 6x3mm round magnets from amazon
• 5015 Fans

  • I use GDSTime 24v fans from West3D
• Superglue (for attaching the magnets to plastic)
• Wiring (whatever your board needs to attach magnets)
• M3 heat inserts
• M3 bolts
   

Instructions

• Print out a plenum, plenum lid, cartridge, cartridge lid, and two vents.
• The heat inserts are inserted in the cartridge but not the plenum.
• The magnets are glued into both the cartridge and the plenum “wings” (or tabs on either side) – be sure to reverse polarity so that the plenum and cartridge sticks together.
• Two 5015 fans are wired together, and the wiring goes through the channel at the bottom of the plenum, there's a hole on either side for convenience.
