Universal Bottle Fly Trap Adapter (FDM & Resin)

This 3D model was born from a common problem: small plastic bottles don't always share the same thread size. To solve this, I designed this universal adapter with a tapered shape that allows it to adapt to a wide variety of bottles on the market.

Turn any empty bottle into an efficient fly trap using your favorite bait!

Included Variants:

• Resin Version (SLA): Optimized for the specific printing process and definition of resin printers.

• FDM Version (Tapered): Designed to fit multiple bottle diameters and print easily without supports.

• FDM Version (Straight Tube): An alternative featuring a straight cylindrical entry, designed for those who prefer a traditional layout.

📌 Important Installation Note:
Due to variations in bottle sizes, it is highly recommended to secure the 3D printed part in place using a bit of hot glue, silicone, or putty. This will ensure the trap stays firmly attached and won't slip or fall off.

Recommended Bait:
For best results, I recommend using a mix of water, sugar, a splash of apple cider vinegar (to attract flies but keep bees away), and a drop of liquid dish soap. Ripe fruit pieces also work great.

Suggested Print Settings (FDM):

• Material: PETG (recommended for outdoor use due to sun resistance) or PLA.

• Supports: None required (when placed with the widest part on the print bed).

• Infill: 15% - 20%.
