Description
"The god of mummification and the afterlife, now brought to your workspace. I designed this bust of Anubis to bridge the gap between ancient mythology and modern 3D printing technology.
Every line, from the sharp geometry of the Ankh to the intricate details of the chest piece, was crafted to be a showstopper. This isn't just a print; it’s a statement piece for your desk that commands respect.
The Look: For that 'ancient relic' aesthetic, I highly recommend a Silk Gold or Metallic Copper filamentpaired with a matte black base. The contrast between the metallic finish and the dark, deep shadows is what makes this piece truly come alive.
The Challenge: I want to see how you style your Anubis.
Challenge: Place him in the most atmospheric spot in your home (bookshelves, near light sources, or minimalist setups).
Share: Post your make with #AnubisRelic. The most creative display will be featured in my gallery!
Technical Note: This model features high-relief details. If you're using a standard nozzle, try lowering your layer height to 0.12mm or 0.16mm to capture the sharpness of the ears and the headpiece."
The Secret: The Art of Drybrushing "You might notice the depth and metallic texture on my Anubis. It’s not just the filament—it’s the Drybrush technique. By lightly brushing a bit of gold or bronze paint over the raised edges, I bring out the soul of this sculpture.
Are you familiar with the drybrush technique? It’s how I give these artifacts that weathered, ancient look. Does this aesthetic appeal to you, or do you prefer the clean, raw look of pure 3D-printed plastic? Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear your take!
