NERF Magazine Speed Loader: Rules for Making, Modding, and Selling

Generally speaking, the typical rules and courtesies for modding and reselling files within the NERF community apply the same for most of the models provided in and by the Magazine Speed Loader (MSL) system, just follow the licencing agreements on the Printable pages. If you want to become a reseller for hardware kits and assemblies, please contact me through the email provided on my profile page and include "Magazine Speed Loader" anywhere in the title, subject, or body of your message to increase the chances for me to see it.

I am, however, willing to "donate" some of my models and services you can sell to the community without needing to cut a portion of the sale back to me AND what actions I consider crossing the boundary into infringing on my ability to sell my own creations. Just make sure you give credit to my MSL project if you do.

What I am Allowing You to Sell are...

Donated MSL Models

Donated MSL models are the 3D files provided on this page. You can sell them as is or make modifications to the design so long as you don't also add functional features present in other MSL models. For example:

You are perfectly okay to embed drawings and logos to the Dart Speed Loader (DSL) Vanity covers.
You are perfectly okay to add holster mounts to the DSL Base and sell that.
I DISALLOW merging said cover to the Core models and selling it as "your design".

Accessories

Products like lanyard cables, DSL specific holsters, and storage items/container for more efficient packing that adds NEW functionality to the MSL system but CAN NOT be used on it's own or with other accessories that can be used in place of already existing MSL models. What I will also put under accessories are:

Bar Stock to build the Pusher
Rod Stock and O-Rings to string the tools for long term storage

If you have concerns whether or not your model falls under allowed accessories, you can contact me on Printables or any other method provided in my profile.

Adding Art onto Printed Models

You can provide services where you add art onto printed models your customer gave to you.

What You CAN NOT Sell

The following list is an incomplete list of cases I WOULD consider violating my ability to sell my own products, not that I can guarantee legal action but to at least avoid strife and controversy.

Selling MSL hardware
Directly modifying non-donated files and selling them as your own of which includes:
- Adding or removing bodies, logos, drawings
- Splicing models apart to be reassembled back together
Using Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models, and other generative programs to copy my models

I am also including the resale of 3D printed MSL parts to the list, not that I want to discourage you from getting cash for old equipment you don't use anymore, but as a default "No" to cover those attempting to regularly sell printed kits/assemblies without permission and the discretionary room to deal with a spectrum of cases in between the two provided extremes.
