Description
A majestic phoenix perched in side profile, sized as a charm for earrings
or necklaces. Styled after a Fawkes-like firebird — sold through plumage, not
flames: a swept-back crest of pointed plumes, a swan-curved neck, folded wings,
and a long fanned tail that sweeps down to become the dangle of the earring.
About 21 x 17 x 32 mm
- A jump-ring bail (2.5 mm inner) is baked into the nape behind the crest,
with the hole running side to side, set above the centre of mass so the
bird hangs upright and facing forward
- Ships as a mirrored left/right pair phoenix_earring.stl+
phoenix_earring_mirror.stl) so both birds face outward when worn
- Add a 6 mm jump ring plus a fish-hook ear wire for an earring, or a
lobster clasp on a short chain for a pendant
Print:
Light supports recommended (tree). The long tail-fan underside and the
lower wing have organic overhangs; the crest tips point up (no support).
- A brim helps the small footprint stick to the bed.
- 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers for crisp feather detail — print one and check the
thin crest/tail edges for fragility before committing to the pair.
- Prints perched on its rock base, as exported.
Single colour as shipped. A dark or metallic silk PLA especially flatters the
plumage; paint the eye for a finishing touch.
