Description
Build Tray is a modular organization system designed for makers, tinkerers, technicians, repair enthusiasts and anyone who needs to keep small parts under control while working on a project.
It was created to help organize components during assembly, disassembly and maintenance of different types of equipment, such as 3D printers, electronics, tools, mechanical parts, RC models, keyboards, computers and general workshop projects.
The tray system includes multiple modules that can be arranged depending on your workflow. Larger trays are useful for tools, covers and bigger parts, while smaller compartments are ideal for screws, fasteners, nozzles, inserts, wires and delicate components.
The design follows a clean, functional and technical aesthetic, focused on practical use, modularity and workshop organization.
This is a project made for the maker community. Makes, feedback, modifications and remixes are highly encouraged. Feel free to print it, adapt it to your own workflow and share your version.

The files are provided in STEP format. Depending on your slicer, the model may be imported as a single assembly or grouped object.
Before slicing, make sure to separate the parts/objects inside your slicer so each tray module can be positioned, arranged and printed correctly.
In most slicers, this can be done using options such as:
Split to objects
Separate objects
Split model
Ungroup
Convert assembly to separate parts
Please check the model layout before starting the print.
Use the Build Tray whenever you need to keep parts separated and visible during a project. It works especially well for:
3D printer maintenance
Electronics repair
Mechanical assembly
Tool maintenance
Keyboard builds
Computer repair
RC and hobby projects
Small parts organization
Workbench organization
This design was made to be used, tested and improved by the maker community.
Makes and remixes are very welcome.
If you create a different layout, new module, custom divider or improved version, please share it as a remix so other makers can benefit from it too.
