The Kraken Decorative Switch Cover

The included base_frame can be adapted to various switch systems by modifying the center opening.

The variant in this upload is compatible with Busch -Jeager Switch (original photo -tested at home).

More variants will be uploaded soon as remixes (for Gira system 55, check link at the end)

Since the Kraken extends beyond the switches standard size, make sure there is sufficient room between eg. door frame and wall sockets.

Print Instructions

Sample printed in PETG using a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer height, 3 perimeters and 10% infill.

Supports

• Base_frame to be customised, doesnt need supports. You only need to add supports if the frame switch requires them.

• Busch-Jaeger compatible frame, requires some minimal supports under the frame only.  (3mf with custom supports)

Following the settings for supports with petg is recommended.

Detailed print settings are included in the 3MF file. 

Some bronze highlights are done simply using a metallic color acrylic marker.
