Elegoo Centauri Carbon Canvas Abrasive Filament Mod

The Elegoo Canvas detects the existence of filaments with a small metal piece that slides on the filaments. Abrasive filaments grind this metal piece down on the short run, resulting on red LED errors.

This mod detects if the module arm is lifted instead.

Pro: works with abrasives

Con: Inserting a new filament is sligthly less convinient.

Installing:

1. Glue the plate onto the arm (see images)

2. Put the PCB into the scaffolding

3. Remove both wire guides from the module

4. Insert a filament into the module so the arm is lifted

5. Glue the scaffolding on the module walls, push the scaffolding as close to the (lifted) arm as you can, but leave a ~0.1mm gap between the scaffolding and the arm just in case.

6. Epoxy glue the scaffolding in place
