Description
This is new original mechanism, that works perfect.
This is a battle spinning top with interchangeable blades. It features a dedicated launch mechanism with a built-in gearbox. Thanks to its 1:2 gear ratio, the top's rotational speed is doubled. Movable wheel locks top when rack is in, this prevents to top fall down.
The entire design is easy to 3D print, and all parts can be printed in PLA. The spinning top itself should preferably be printed with 100% infill (to maximize its mass). The gearbox gears are best printed in PETG for improved durability and wear resistance.
The model comes with a set of simple blades, including versions with built-in moving parts.
The snap-lock mechanism prevents the spinning top from falling out when it is lifted upward.
The gear wheels and pulling rack were designed according to standard engineering specifications from a technical catalog (module 0.8 for plastic material wheels: OD=11.2 mm, OD=20.8 mm).
The twist-lock system securely holds the blade in place during operation.
The blades include moving parts that require no assembly, as everything is printed in one piece.
Printing:
This is most economical way to print top, for top's upside no need for supports (if you place high quality printing: layer 0.08 or 0.1 - no supports needed for top's upside only for top's bottom in thread hole)
other part's no supports needed
blades also could be printed without supports at all
Custom build blades:
The top features a simple threaded connection, allowing you to create and use your own custom blades and combine number of blades together.
all you need is hole diameter at least 20.6 mm
blade thickness between 2 - 12 mm
Size:
Cord length 273 mm
Blade dimeter 91 mm
Blade height from ground 25 mm
