Description
Fits well on my Nexus 7. Of course you can modify SCREEN_MOUNTs (bouth are the same) to fit your screen.
You should weld brass threads (M3x5x4) in MOUNT_BASE model.
To screw SCREEN_MOUNT use M3 x 12mm screw.
I recommend modifying the model's MOUNT_BASE print settings to print with more perimeters. This should make thread assembly easier. In my case, I set the number of perimeters to 4.
I printed everything in PLA, and everything is stiff, nothing is breaking, and the temperature outside the enclosure isn't high. Consider using more durable materials if you want to ensure nothing will break over time.
MOUNT_HOLE_TEMPLATE is for people who have already printed the lid. You should align MOUNT_HOLE_TEMPLATE with left part of [a]_x1_K1C_V3_FRAME_FRONT and drill holes with 3mm or 4mm drill.
I don't know if whole model can be mounted on other side.
PARTS REQUIRED | |
|---|---|
4x | M3 x 12mm screw |
4x | M3 x 5 x 4 brass thread |
Before publicity I modified SCREEN_MOUNT and I deleted top part of model. This may allow for larger screens to be mounted. I'm not sure if the angle will be sufficient to hold a device without falling.
