Description
Hedgehog Pen & Pencil Holder — your pens become the quills.
A bald little hedgehog with no printed spikes. Instead, an angled fan of 11 blind bores is drilled into the dome of its back. Plug your pens and pencils in and THEY become the quills — radiating outward from the body exactly like a real hedgehog's spines. The more colours you load, the better it looks.
The face is built in: two dimple eyes and a low snout at the front.
WHY IT PRINTS SO CLEANLY
The body is the top half of an ellipsoid, so the wall starts vertical at the bed and only leans inward as it rises. That means zero overhangs and NO supports anywhere. It sits belly-flat on the bed for maximum adhesion. The bores are tilted at most 50 degrees from vertical and funnelled with a 45-degree mouth, so pens drop in easily and the holes print without support too.
FITS
The bores are about 11.5 mm wide, so they take standard pens, pencils and markers (roughly 7-11 mm) loosely. Footprint is about 104 x 84 mm, height about 72 mm.
PRINT SETTINGS
Belly flat on the bed, as oriented. No supports, no brim needed.
- 0.2 mm layers, 3+ walls, 10-15 percent infill is plenty.
- Any filament. A metallic or grey filament gives it that classic hedgehog look.
Load it with a rainbow of pens and it turns into a desk pet.
