For a complete Lamp, you will need one of Foxwood's Lamp 1.0 designs.
Motivated by the classic beauty of Foxwood’s Kumiko Lamp and the functionality of the Bambu Labs LED Lamp 001, I wanted to experiment with some decorations to allow the design to be showcased in different ways. These simple additions allow Foxwood’s Lamp 1.0 designs to be adapted for different occasions, locations or purposes.
Decorative lids. The Foxwood Lamp includes a traditional lampshade in addition to a vasemode diffuser. I designed a lid that can be used with both, or the diffuser alone. Pilot edges help seat the lid to the shade or diffuser simply and neatly. With the shade on, the lamp provides a subtly lit mood light. With the diffuser alone, the lamp provides greater illumination for a bedroom or reading light. To fit with the lamps decorative nature, the lids offer a variety of designs: plain translucency for a modern look; translucency with a decorative pattern to complement the lamp shade; or opaque for when subtle is best.
Decorative colour disc. The beauty of working with filament printers is that any filament can be translucent if printed with minimal thickness. The Colour Disc takes advantage of this feature of 3d printing to enhance the lamp’s lighting with your choice of hue. Using a translucent filament will work well with the subtle lighting of the lamp shades, and regular filament will provide an accent when used with the diffuser alone.
The example photos show the same Foxwood Kumiko Lamp 1.0 with both translucent and transparent diffusers, and a variety of decorative lids and colour disc.

This is a small project to test my printing knowledge and CAD modelling skills. It’s a great way for me to experiment and I’d enjoy listening to any special requests.
Message me or post in Makes & Comments and I’ll see what I can do.
Like what you see and using a different lamp? I’m happy to take requests and adapt the design to suit your needs.
