Metallica Name Logo (With Magnetic Mounting Options)

This is a multi-part 3D printable Metallica name logo designed for clean printing and versatile mounting.

The iconic end letters “M” and “A” are printed as individual pieces and work universally with all versions. The middle “ETALLIC” section comes in two distinct stylistic variations based on the geometry of the middle letter "A":

• Symmetrical "A" Version: A standard, balanced letter geometry.

• Vertical "A" Version: The right side of the "A" is perfectly vertical.

MAGNETIC MOUNTING VARIATIONS

Both stylistic versions of the “ETALLIC” print include a secondary file variant featuring a pocket on the back designed to press-fit a 0.425” x 0.068” magnet. Because of the different letter shapes, the magnet placement varies:

• On the Vertical "A" version, the magnet pocket is perfectly centered.

• On the Symmetrical "A" version, the pocket is offset and tucked into the bottom section of the "L".

PRINT SETTINGS

• Orientation: Print with the face profile side flat on the print bed for the smoothest, cleanest face surface finish.

• Material: PLA

• Layer Height: 0.20mm

• Infill: 10% - 20%

• Supports: None required if printed flat.

TWO-TONE FILAMENT COLOR CHANGE TIP

To get a striking two-tone look with a different face color (like the classic silver-on-black or similar styles seen in the images:

1. Slice the model flat on its face.

2. Program a filament change or pause in your slicer after the first few layers.

3. The first layers will form the crisp face profile, and the remainder of the print will finish out the depth in your primary background color.
