Description
This first aid kit is 80mm tall to fit under car seat but should be useful in many applications. Compact design should avoid most cross members and other seat hardware. It fits under the seats of our cars nicely. It's sized to fit a good collection of family road-trip necessities for insect bites, scratches, grazes and splinters.
Assembly requires 6x 30mm M3 screws for latches and hinges. I used black hex M3 screws for these.
Prints without supports. Latches may be best printed with 5mm brim for adhesion reliability.
I've included a model to use as the text on the lid. It's reversed to print correctly and 0.4mm thick but you may need to rotate 180 degrees on Z depending on orientation of your lid. Set it as a modifier at bed height and to your 2nd colour. All going to plan you'll only have 2 material changes - verify in the slicer before starting if (like me) you're doing this with manual colour changes.
Materials used in photo are eSun PETG solid green and solid white for the case, eSun TPU 95A transparent red for the seal. I used 0.2/0.2mm fuzzy skin painted on outside of box, lid and latches excluding areas that face latches & hinges and the sides of the latches themselves.
