Description
Desktop phone stand. Simple and robust. Fits naked phones and cases up to 14mm (0.55") thick. Also works with Loopy cases and Popsockets. Works in portrait and landscape mode.
Slightly improved over the previously posted version.Â
Prints well without supports oriented as shown. It will come into PrusaSlicer correctly oriented. 0.3mm layer thickness works fine.
Recessed holes are included on the bottom for optional grip pads. You can use small self-adhesive pads 12mm or smaller or small dots of hot glue work best.Â
To add grip pads using hot glue:
1) put a piece of aluminum foil or wax paper on a smooth, flat surface (like a marble counter top)
2) turn the print upside down
3) lay a couple of coins or popsicle sticks on the foil to provide spacers for the pads.Â
4) put equally sized drops of hot glue in each recessed hole, approximately twice the depth of the hole
5) set the stand on the foil with the spacers between the pads and let the glue cure
6) peel the foil or paper off the glue pads and use your new stand
Example print is in Atomic Filament Dark Cherry Red PETG.Â
Gcode file is set up for Prusament PETG.
Original work, modeled in Autodesk Fusion 360.
