Description
A custom-designed, rugged protective case for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. This model is designed to provide maximum protection for your device while maintaining a unique, aggressive aesthetic. The design features reinforced corner bumpers, a textured back for excellent grip, and precise cutouts for all ports and sensors.
This is an advanced multi-material print designed to combine the flexibility of TPU with the rigidity of PLA.
Reinforced Corner Bumpers (Multi-Material): The design incorporates pronounced, thickened corners designed to absorb shock from drops and impact. The main body is flexible TPU, while the top of the corner bumpers (shown in yellow) are rigid PLA.
Screen & Camera Protection: The corner bumpers are raised above the screen level, allowing you to place the phone face down safely. The back features a perfectly fitted cutout that protects the massive camera module.
Edge-Swipe Friendly: The side and top bezels between the corners are designed with a lower profile, providing unobstructed tactile access to the very edges of the display. This ensures smooth, snag-free swiping for edge panels, side menus, and the top notification shade.
Textured Back Surface: Designed to be printed face-down on a textured PEI build plate, giving the case a premium, non-slip feel and completely hiding layer lines.
Precise Cutouts: Easy and unobstructed access to the S-Pen, USB-C port, bottom speaker, and side buttons.
Multi-Color/Multi-Material Ready (or Manual Swap): Designed to utilize systems like AMS/MMU, but can also be printed on standard single-extruder printers using a simple layer pause.
Materials (CRITICAL):
Main Body: TPU (designed for AMS compatibility, e.g., Bambu TPU 95A HF or similar stiffer TPUs that feed well).
Corner Bumper Tops: PLA (for rigidity and contrast).
Orientation: Print face-down (the flat back of the case touching the build plate).
Layer Height: 0.2mm for a good balance of speed and quality.
Wall Loops / Perimeters: 3-4 walls for maximum durability.
Infill: 10% Honeycomb.
Supports: Minimal tree supports may be required for the USB-C and S-Pen cutouts, depending on your printer's bridging capabilities.
Build Plate: Textured PEI sheet strongly recommended for the best back-panel finish.
Important Note for Multi-Material Printing: If using an AMS/MMU system, please ensure your TPU is well-calibrated and proven to work in your multi-material setup to avoid jams during the material swaps with PLA. No AMS? No problem! You can easily print this on a standard single-extruder printer. Simply add a "Pause at height" (or M600 filament change) command in your slicer settings at the exact layer where the corner bumpers start, allowing you to manually swap the spool from TPU to PLA.
Happy printing! Please boost the model if you like it, and don't forget to share your makes!
