Test Tube Arena

Compact mini arena for ant colonies in a test tube setup.
The arena is especially suitable for founding queens and small colonies that should not yet be moved into a larger nest or formicarium.

With this small open arena, food can be offered more easily without constantly opening the test tube or unnecessarily disturbing the colony.

Required Parts

The following parts are required for the complete setup:

• 1 × O-ring 13 × 1.5 mm

• 1 × acrylic glass plate 50 × 25 mm, 2 mm thick

• 1 × test tube with 16 mm outer diameter

For this model, I used a test tube with a 16 mm outer diameter and an O-ring sized 13 × 1.5 mm.
Depending on your printer, filament, print settings and the actual diameter of your test tube, the fit may vary slightly.
