Description
A working flare I made for my kids Deep Rock Galactic Halloween costumes. The end piece is printed in TPU with 4 walls and no infill to absorb impact so it can be tossed and lands like a flare in the game. One end has a hidden switch that can be turned on by twisting one end. It uses the guts from a cheap LED lantern, specifically the LED strips, reflector, battery terminals, and switch. It's made to fit the parts from the linked lantern, but similar ones may work and FreeCAD files are included so it can be modified to fit other parts.
All internal parts are printed in PLA. The end cap file has been pulled from the Official Deep Rock Galactic 3d Models Repository and edited in the slicer with negative modifiers.
