Description

This is a printable SUP fin designed as a replacement or spare part for a paddle board.
The model includes the fin body and mounting base in one STL file.

The fin has a curved hydrodynamic shape and a reinforced base area. It can be useful if your original fin is lost, damaged, or if you want to experiment with a printed replacement.

Please check the dimensions of your board’s fin box before printing. STL units are assumed to be millimeters.

Approximate dimensions:

  • Overall length: 174 mm

  • Fin height: 122 mm

  • Maximum width at base: 22 mm

  • Main fin thickness: about 8 mm

Printing recommendations

Recommended materials:

  • PETG — good basic option

  • ASA / ABS — better heat and outdoor resistance

  • Nylon / PA-CF — best option for strength, if your printer supports it

I do not recommend PLA for long-term outdoor use, because it can soften in the sun or deform in a hot car.

Suggested print settings:

  • Layer height: 0.2 mm

  • Walls/perimeters: 4–6

  • Infill: 40–70%

  • Top/bottom layers: 5+

  • Supports: depends on your print orientation

  • Print orientation: lay the model in a way that gives maximum layer strength at the base

For real water use, check the part carefully after printing. The fin should fit tightly and should not have cracks, weak layer bonding, or poor adhesion near the base.

Notes

This part should be considered a functional replacement/test part.
Before using it on the water, test the fit and strength carefully.
