v2.1 Modular Drawer System (Support Free)

Hey there, this is a model I created for the Modular Drawer System design competition. Check out the edit tree below to see the development of this model along with the updates made.

The drawers use a simple interlocking mechanism and more drawers can easily be added, this version of the drawer is going to be the smallest one I'm printing and more will be uploaded very soon. None of the items (starting from the v2 version) need supports and can be printed completely support free saving a lot of filament. Additionally, every item on here can be created on a Prusa Mini/Bambu Lab A1 Mini.

I'm not focusing too much on the aesthetics of the photos, but more so on the product itself right now. The mess you can see in the background is from me trying to fix the printer.

Print Description: Use 10-12% gyroid infill on the Modular Body and the .28mm profile on Prusas and .24 profile on Bambu Labs.

• The handle is also interchangeable. (I will upload the dimensions for the handle attachment, so others can create their own unique one if they choose to or can easily customize it for labels and whatnot)

Features in development:

• Various sizes

• Magnet to hold the drawer closed (6x2mm magnets)

• Dividers inside the drawer

V2 Edit: July 14/15, 2026

The refreshed version has been released under v2. It uses less filament, has a slimmer design and has a slightly bigger drawer by about 1 mm to reduce the movement of the drawer when it is fully slid in. Also the connectors are much easier to install and will be easier to adjust for tolerance issues. The Handle also has a new support free design, though its not my favorite and is friction secured so you might need to play with it to get it right.

V1 Edit: July 9, 2026

I was planning on uploading it all after I completed it, but then my MK4S hot end broke and the parts will only arrive until after the competition ends. Hence, I am going to upload what I have and see if I can use a neighbor's printer to test out the rest of the parts to see if they work well and to polish it before I upload them.

Back to printing again today. The new hot end is going to take too long, so I bought a Bambu Labs A1 mini for the meantime and I’m back to printing!
