Description
When a Subaru transmission is drained and removed, there is still plenty of gear oil that can pool up and leak out of the open seals. This print prevents most small oil leaks and keeps dirt out of the transmission during storage.
The 20mm deep cap is needed for the rear output shaft seal as it accepts a Female style driveshaft and protrudes outside the seal, the smaller 10mm deep caps can be used for the front axle seals as they have no output shaft protruding.
Everything here is designed for the newer style Male axle shafts because that is what I have access to from my 2008 Forester XT. If you have measurements of the older style, feel free to remix or send me your design to add here.
All 3 axle seals on my transmission are the newer style 36mm ID, I've read that the older seals are 30mm and I can add those sizes as well on request or feel free to remix.
