Different Eyeglass Temple Designs

This project was born from my passion for 3D printing, which is my favorite hobby. I wanted to create a collection of interchangeable eyeglass temples with different styles, so everyone can choose the design they like best.

All temple designs are included in a single project. Simply keep the model you want to print and remove the others.

Colors and Materials

You can print the temples in a single color or use multiple colors if you have an AMS (or any compatible multi-material system). Feel free to customize them with the filament colors you prefer.

The models were designed using measurements taken from my own glasses, and they fit me very well. Since every frame is different, you may need to slightly scale the model to obtain the perfect fit.

Print Settings

For the best surface finish and logo quality, I recommend:

• Layer height: 0.10 mm

• Nozzle: 0.20 mm

Assembly

To mount the temples to the frame, I used two M3 × 7 mm screws.

Depending on your eyeglass frame, you may need slightly shorter or longer screws, so simply choose the length that fits your frame.

Filament Recommendation

These temples can be printed with PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, or other suitable materials.

PLA works perfectly well and is the easiest material to print. However, because eyeglasses are often left inside a car or exposed to direct sunlight during summer, I personally recommend ABS (or ASA) for their higher heat resistance and better long-term durability.

The examples shown in the photos were printed using Bambu ABS Silver and Bambu ABS Green. I also printed one version in Bambu PAHT-CF, which offers excellent rigidity and heat resistance.
