I Created a prop from the game Half Life Alyx and this is the resource you search for in game. thought it would be a cool item to have in the real world and also would share it as well.

Final step

I first used a small flame torch to get the stringy bits off then i applied black paint to match the in-game model, then applied a clear enamel coat to protect from wear.

How I Designed This ===================

Created the General Outside shell shape. then used multiple spheres and metaballed them together to get a more organic shape. then used a bool tool to cut the spheres out of the outside shell.
