Description
As promised back when I threw together The Scorpion (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1686696) I have come up with a full-featured carriage (and extras) package for the flex3drive dual (https://flex3drive.com/flex3drive/f3d-dual-nozzle/).
Ok so here is the skinny:
→ All hardware is the same as the original carriage with the exception of the servo and the things included with the flex drive. The cooling manifold is mounted using 2 m3x50 socketheads from the bottom (Drop 2 m3 hex nuts into the aft internal mounting holes within the flex drive).
→ I have included several original unaltered parts to save you the time of tracking them down (noted in the file names).
→ A special thanks goes out to Mutley for redrawing the Carriage so the mounting holes would match the flex3drive.
→ The Diablo cooler is designed to work with my ducted-fan cooling system (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2008700).
Note: The cooler flows so well that it's a good idea to rerun your PID autotuning after the install.
Note: The cooler has a rather complex internal structure and should be printed as carefully as possible (cold and slooooow).
Note: As with all my setups this configuration is designed to work with 2 MK-V (legit) J-Heads from hotends.com.
Note: I am unsure about the demand for a cooler that uses traditional fans, so we will see ;)
UPDATE: So I posted the wrong rear carriage STL, I have replaced it with the correct one.
UPDATE: I added a few photos of some calibration objects provide proof that I am not totally crazy for actually building and using this thing.
UPDATE: I have experienced a wobbling on the original carriage model. I have revised the design to be quite a bit more sturdy by using a bunch of m3x50 socketheads to strengthen the model and remove any wiggle it might encounter.
