Terrarium cover

This is a prototype of a cover I made for my dormice's terrarium. The idea was to make a self-sustaining terrarium capable of keeping its inhabitants alive for a longer time (2 weeks vacation etc.). So far it only holds a large water tank and I no longer plan to make any improvements as I gave the terrarium with dormice to a friend of mine.

The cover fits an 80x40 cm terrarium, parts are glued together (ASA + acetone) and the wire mesh is squeezed between two plastic frames with M3 screws and nuts.

This cover worked fine for 8 years with only minor maintenance.

I don't have any good photos, you'll have to improvise if you'd like to use this model.
