Hanging Compact Soap Tray

This is portable, compact soap tray that hangs from a suction cup hook (or a different hook that is available). It prints fairly quickly and only uses ~19g of filament, depending on your print settings. This would be good for travelling when you would like your own soap tray, or when you need an additional soap tray, or when you would like to position one in a different location than is currently available. The suction cup hooks are widely available online and in many department stores. The tray does pivot or swing on the hook, so a minimal amount of care is needed to place a bar of soap centered on the tray. The tray holds regular sized oval and rectangular bars of soap, and smaller sized travel bars. It can hold some over-sized bars of soap. One could also hang other things from the tray, such as a wash cloth or small sponge. The tray is scalable to fit extra large bars of soap. With suction cup hooks, the tray is easily removeable and repositionable.

For best results, print the tray laying on its back. This is the orientation of the included object file.

This design came about when our master bathroom shower needed to be renovated and multiple adults shared a secondary bathroom shower. The tray provides another location to place a bar of soap.

Note: this is an updated design from the original posted object. This design helps the soap bar to dry better and not stick as much to the tray.
