Description

Replacement throat plate for the Ryobi TS1350 Compound Miter Saw. Original part is discontinued. Spines added to increase the rigidity. This part prints upside down. I do not make the screw holes go all the way through, nor do I design in the countersinks for the screw heads, because I am not a fan of printing supports if not absolutely needed. After printing, finish drilling the holes and countersinks, and sand as needed. You may need to print this diagonally to fit on your build plate. Brim is useful, if poss.

Note: the 3D design photo has the part colored red. However, the parts I printed are black, and the original plate is red plastic. The second photo shows two printed parts (one not installed, and the other installed and cut with the initial vertical cut.

Notes:

This design likes to curl up from the build plate. If your build plate has enough room, print with a brim, or use whatever other method that works for you to ensure build plate adherence.

Post-Printing =============

After printing, finish drilling out the five screw holes. You will also need to drill a countersink to allow the screw heads to be below the surface of the plate. Be careful that you do not drill too little or not enough for the countersinks. I figure that if you have a compound miter saw, you can probably figure out the countersinks. :)

Also, check to make sure that the face of the plate, when installed, is not higher that the table. If it is, you may need to sand it down. This replacement part works great on my saw, but I don't know if there are design variations within the same model.
