Description
This is a minimalist mounting bracket solution for the RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller (128 x 64 pixels) designed specifically for the BobsCNC RP9 3D printer.
The design is in three parts, requires no supports, and is a very secure fit. It is quite possible that you may even need to tweak the settings to allow your own display to fit, in which case head on over to Tinkercad to create your own modification:
Left bracket:

Right bracket:

Brace:

The left and right brackets are designed to clip directly onto the PCBs of the display and may be sufficiently tight by themselves. However, the brackets have small tabs in the back to allow the third part, a brace, to be clipped and supported to ensure the brackets don't accidentally loosen up and release the display.
Props where props are due: I got inspiration from the following display brackets:

This, like those, is designed to work with no additional hardware. Print it and use it!
Note - there is either a flaw in the mirror function in Tinkercad or I did something else to the design to cause the width of one side to be deeper than the other. As such, the brace is deeper on one side and will only be able to be fastened one way. I'm too lazy to fix it! :-)
Printer: BobsCNC RP9 v2
Rafts: Doesn't Matter
Supports: No
Resolution: 0.2 mm
Infill: 30%
Notes:
I printed mine in white Excelvan PLA filament on blue painter's tape.
I always use rafts - so much easier removing from my blue tape. Remember a 0.2mm air gap and it will likely peel right off. No, the finish isn't as shiny but I like reusing my tape.
I designed this entire thing in Tinkercad. I made liberal use of a digital caliper to get measurements and the design went through three iterations before I got something that worked pretty well.
