Description
This bracket is designed for easy z-level adjustment of the Anet A8 (or any other printer with 8mm guiding rails)
70mm length should be the right height to place it under the y-z level joints right after doing the auto home. then you can manually lower the joints until the clip is firm between the frame and the joint (see picture).
I suggest to use 2 clips so you can do both sides at one shot.
Addition:
Holder for the clips, designed to fit on the Anet A8 frame left or right of the display. So finally your clips are not all over the place and attached to the frame.
I decided to go for a 2 pcs. design for easy printing.
FreeCAD models are included if you need other lengths or adjust the holder for other frames.
If you do not know CAD you can also use the 100mm model (Anet_A8_Z-level_adjustment_clip_100mm.stl) and just scale it in the slicer, so for example a 65% z-scaling of the model will result in a 65mm long clip.
Printer:
Anet A8
Rafts:
Yes
Resolution:
2
Infill:
10
Notes:
PLA
You might want to increase the raft size to 15mm since the prints tend so loosen themselves from the plate.
Holder tweaking
I designed the holder body with enough clearance for an easy fit on the frame. If you want a press fitting, just warm up the clip with a heat gun for 10 secs. and bend it inwards a little.
