Description

If you've ever wanted to make use of those Makita LxT 18V batteries for non-Makita projects, you are going to want a solid and clean way to get to the battery terminals. This 3D print provides a plastic plate that slips onto the battery, snapping on just like a Makita power tool. The electrical terminals connections are reproduced using a genuine Makita spare part (643852-2), glued into place. You will need to source those separately, but relatively inexpensive for a Makita part.

The 3D Makita LXT 18V Battery Mount is designed to directly and firmly fit the Makita 643852-2 Battery Terminal spare part, though I use epoxy resin glue to secure it permanently in-place.

This is a revision to a past successful design.  The most notable difference are the mounting holes.  I also tweaked the design's details for even more precision.  This design has the mounting holes accessed from underneath, necessary for a separate project.

I've now created several projects based on this design, altering the basic width and length to accommodate a custom 3D printed box cover to fit the project.

My print is made with eSUN PLA+ 1.75mm Black filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill on a Bambu X1 Carbon printer. Print supports required.

I hope that you can find this print useful, too.

Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.

(Lookout for some of my 3D prints for my Makita battery projects and share your thoughts.)
