Description
I liked the Dagoma Neva spool support by Achrome that I found on Thing I verse and I likes the spool holder clip by Phende, so thought I would give them a try. Turns out that most of my filament comes in reels that are much wider than the what the spool holder arm was designed for, so I did a remix of the reel arm to make it long enough for any reel of filament. Also the little locking swivel pin on the support arm is not the way I would do things. I would put the locking pin or this case make it a locking cam on the top of the support arm and put a mating slot on the top of the main clip. But what I did was put in my longer support arm and just make a mark on the arm that lined up with the keyway on the main body clip. Then just drilled a small hole and put in a finnish nail as the locking pin, all near the top.
Thanks guys for this design as it has made the printer foot print much smaller and easy to move around.
