Description

This is a case I designed for Raspberry Pi with Waveshare 4.3 inch LCD module which makes a nice setup for running OctoPrint, Klipper/etc. You will need some M3 socket head screws and nuts (DIN912) for securing the lid to the case (6x 6mm long) as well as two more for the mounting bracket (M3x8). The swing connection uses M4x16 and one M4 nut. You need two more M4 bolts with t-slot nuts for the 2020 extrusion mount. If you are adding a fan, you need one 50x10mm 5V (I am actually running 12V fan connected to the 5V line - fan runs very quiet and provides sufficient air circulation to keep the RPi cool. You could also use fan controller and have the RPi manage the fan automatically based on temperature.

When assembling the case - insert the screen first, alone, without bolting the Raspberry Pi to it as the case is a sung fit and you won't be able to properly position the ports without risking breaking something (like the glass of the screen). Screen will slide in and sit snugly in place, then position the RPi and bolt it with the (provided with the screen) M2.5 bolts.

Pre-install the M3 nuts in all slots using the "pull method" (video courtesy of Rat Rig)

Before bolting the mount, make sure you have the rear lid bolted as one of the bolts would be partially blocked by the mount. The slot on the back lid is for routing out RPi camera ribbon cable if you're using one.

Recommended print settings - 0.5 layer width, 4 perimeters 9 top and bottom layers for rigidity/strenght
