Here is the solution for you.

fill the bottom with water, drape a piece of cotton over the plattform and fill it with water.

Place the pnallt on top and you have perfect watering until the water is used.

PS: make sure your pot has holes at the bottom, ir its a thick clay pot put a piece of cotton cloth in the hole so it sucks the water into the dirft properly
