Shade for Mainstays Floor Lamp

This is a replacement lamp shade for the Walmart “Mainstays” brand floor lamp.  My kids and pets kept knocking over our lamp, leading to the original plastic lamp shade cracking and breaking.  This is a drop-in replacement for the original.

You'll probably want to avoid PLA if you're using incandescent bulbs or any bulb that produces a significant amount of heat.

I printed this in semi-transparent PETG using typical temperatures

On an Ender 3 (or similar), you may need to reduce the size to 98 or 99 percent to get it to fit on the build plate.

Supports are required (for lower part of shade - area mostly hidden by lamp fixture)

Recommended walls:  4 or 5

Infill:  20%

Build Plate Adhesion:  None

In Cura, set the “horizontal expansion” to a negative value to make for thinner walls and a more light-permeable shade or a positive value for thicker walls and a more opaque shade.
