Description
I did not find a solution for a bowden compatible laser filament runout sensor, so I designed my own.
This box should fit a 'Prusa Laser Filament sensor'. The sensor should slide in place effortlessly.
I have provided 2 version: for 3mm and 1.75mm filament.
I did not create a bracket yet. But you can use the hole in the bottom (for a 3mm screw) to mount it to a custom bracket, so it should be compatible with any frame/extruder setup.
1 remark: I have designed this thing with some tolerances in mind. When you have printed this thing, make sure you check that the optical sensor is well below the filament hole. You can damage your sensor if you have to poke it to hard. (guess how I found out... looking for sponsors to replace my backup sensor...)
Edit 20190201: Ik removed the original box, it would never work. The filament was passing on the wrong side of the sensor. Fixed in V2. Still no bracket
