Description

I didn't like the height of the table and needed a way to secure it, so I made a riser and hitch for the easel IKEA ODDVALD. This is the specific easen:

The model rises the height a total of 28 mm. The exacts dimensions of the model and how it fits to the easel can be check in the following pictures:

It also has a 6 mm hole in one side intended for a screw and a wing nut or other type of thumb screw to secure the board to the easel.

Since you may want to modify the model (especially the height), apart from the .STL I also included the SOLIDWORKS 2020 file.

Print Settings

Must be noted, that in order to assemble a whole table with two easels, you have to mirror the provided model. That is to say, in that case you will have to print:

  • x2 “normal” ones.
  • x2 mirrored ones.

In the following picture we can se an example for the pieces needed to assemble one easel:

Printed in PETG, without supports or rafts, at 0.2mm resolution and 50% infill.

For more strength you may want to lower the fan speed and increase the wall line count.

It also could be printed in PLA without a problem.

Assembly

Once you drilled the holes in the board, you need to slide the risers in the top part of the easel. Finally you insert the screws, put a washer and thigthen the whole thing with the wing nut.
