Description

I was commissioned to create a wearable costume and drew the basics. I liked the way Naomi attached the straps, and all of the fasteners are her contribution.

intended to be printed with flexible filament 85A. supports are required, and I recommend being somewhat aggressive especially with the bottom piece. Since it is not rigid, the print will tend to oscillate under the extruder causing artifacts, so extra supports for stability.

I recommend a layer of RTV silicone on the underside of each piece to aid in comfort.

review https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2421240 for information on the straps. I have found that soft elastic also works well with the pegs

Update:

I added two other drafts for the bottom piece. The industrial version is actually the original and the final piece is a derivative.

the 'technicality' was a thought experiment as I still consider my skills to be above beginner, but not fluent at all. This was a simple hex pattern, that I multiplied, extruded and then did a revolve cut through the block and added the pegs.

Notes:

raft is your choice. I used one on the bottom panel and printed vertical and top down with agressive supports.

compared to Naomi's entry, these are considerably thicker and handle supports better, I had problems when printing hers as the supports were tearing the thin walls. but hers is probably more comfortable.

all mounting hardware is taken directly from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2421240 thank you Naomi. her videos will show you how to assemble.
