Building on boelle / emanresu's code to make it easier to stack shields and get a case printed that hinges shut!

Latest update: both front and back are hinged, so all of the ports print flat to the print bed, which prints very cleanly. And it makes it very easy to open up to work on the Arduino, then close it up for use.

The case now works very well, and fits the boards that i have, but we need more measurements for shields.

The STLs are for an Uno with an ethernet shield and a custom shield, with a hole in the back for the cables from the board. One STL is the version plated to print, and the other is how the case looks closed.

But don't print these STLs, generate what you need using Customizer.

Help

The best way to help is to create a case with a customized shield. To quickly test the fit of the placement of the ports, you can print just the 'front' or 'back' face of the case and see if everything fits. Then when you have the measurements right, you can print and assemble the whole case. Then publish the case, so we can see the measurements and add them to the script so that people can add them via pull-downs.

Instructions

Open in Customizer.

Select your Arduino type, and shields, from the lists.

It'll generate a case for your Arduino and board stack.

Note: only the ethernet shield has a hole for the connector. For other shields, for now use the 'custom shield' to enter hole locations. If you can post the locations and sizes of where holes need to be for your shield, or if you publish your custom shield so that we can see the measurements, we'll add to the script.
