DescriptionCommentsTags

Description

Allows mounting the Anycubic Vyper's filament sensor at a 45° angle to reduce strain on the sensor when the filament spool is mounted on the top instead of on the side. Prints nicely in PLA without supports (see picture with print orientation) in around 15 minutes. Assembly only takes 5-10 minutes.

If you like what I'm doing, please give it a like 👍 consider joining my club or buying me a coffee! 😃👍

Additionally required parts

  • 1x M3x18 Bolt or longer
  • 1x M3 Nut

Assembly instructions

  1. Unload your filament from the filament sensor to make installation easier.
  2. Unscrew the bolt on the filament sensor.
  3. Place the adapter like in the photos where the filament sensor used to be.
  4. Using the bolt you just unscrewed, screw the adapter to the printer.
  5. Place the filament sensor between the two rails as in the photos, aligning the hole on the filament sensor with the hole on the adapter.
  6. Put the M3x18 bolt through the hole and screw on the M3 nut on the back of the adapter tightly as in the photos.

Changes to the original

This is a remix of this model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4943235

  • Rails were added on the sides to prevent the filament sensor from wiggling from side to side and further reduce strain on the filament sensor.
  • A hole on the side to insert a thin nut was filled in to make it easier to print.
