Description
After printing the Nuka cola emblem and adding fins to a generic cylindrical bottle koozie, it bothered me that the shape wasn't true to the model. This model while not perfect is the typical V2 cartoon cigar shape we know as Nuka Cola.
This is a loose fitting case made to fit a Yuengling bottle specifically, but it will also allow for several other similar bottles.
interior height 178.5 when the short piped top is attached. this fits a Yuengling bottle perfectly with almost zero play. The red print is the shorter original version.
12-24-19 added a cleaned version of the short top. This version prints better with no supports. the ring that was meant to stabilize the bottle isnt required, but it helps make the top more rigid. The pipe on the rim has a small chamfer to reduce stringing and improve the printing results.
Extended top is 5mm longer. The yellow print is with the extended version.
Revolve wrap
Taking the original bottle koozie model, I drew the iconic V2 Bugs Bunny look'n rocket like shape in a sketch as an overlay. Hiding the original, I did a revolve of the basic shape and made a shell. I restored the original, resulting in an odd looking hybrid, a cylinder with a pregnant bulge. I thin did a second revolve of the outer portion as a cut, to remove the protruding shape.
I wasnt able to cut the nuka cola logo across the upper and lower portions. Still dealing with a somewhat novice skill level.the 5mm longer version was an edit of the original before I refactored the curve of the bottle.
