Description
There are the files from my 2nd build in Simone Giertz's build class on Studio. I designed a laser-pointer system which can be mounted above your toilet to illuminate the toilet bowl and give you something to aim at….
I've included two different versions of the base model, one that uses a motion sensor and one which would only be manually activated with a switch.
I powered mine using 4x AAA batteries and an ESP32 Development Board (many generics available on amazon) simply as I had them on hand and it was easy, but is certainly overkill. I bought these lasers on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071FT9HSV/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_WTA2P24VDWPWGK7822RY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The gears allow the laser assembly to rotate between toilet pointing mode and “nightlight mode” with the seat upwards. I included printable pins (8mm and 5mm rods) but you could also use metal pin if you have them on hand.
You can view the full build video here which explains the problem and my solution in more detail.
