Description
This is a remix of the Ender 3 mount adapted from the original designed by @fredator. It moves the extruder body forward approx. 9mm to compensate for the hot end offset added by the Hero Me fan duct. I felt that the extra overhang required reinforcement so I added strengthening ribs underneath, which also required adding a little bit of height.
I used a 44mm length of Bowden tube to connect the extruder to my Micro-Swiss all-metal hot end. If for some reason you haven't realized that having the Bowden tube butt up against the nozzle is a bad design and you are still using the stock hot end, then you'll need to adjust the length of the tube. But if you're going to all this trouble anyway, I'd recommend that you throw away the stock hot end and get an all-metal version. I have never had a nozzle clog since fitting mine!!
The Fusion 360 model is available at https://a360.co/2YrC7Xi
Using this mount, the extruder will line up with the hot end and will clear all the fan ducts easily.
