Airlift/Payload Kit for DJI Mini 2, DJI Mini SE, and Mavic Mini

May 8, 2022
Description
Start your own drone delivery service and deliver cargo/payloads with your DJI Mini 2, DJI Mini SE, or Mavic Mini!
Everything is fully 3D printable without supports, you just need some string or a wire.
Both the mount and the landing legs are required for this to work properly, but the hook is optional. However, the hook allows you to self-release the payload when you let the payload touch the ground.
The mount is designed to move/shift around quite a bit. This does not matter when flying, however, as long as the mount stays attached to the drone. It cannot be any tighter or else when you try removing the mount from your drone, the bottom cover of your drone may come off and you will need to find a replacement.
You can also use your own landing legs, just make sure they give enough ground clearance for the undercarriage mount.

Troubleshooting
Problem 1: Drone tries to land when you want to descend even though you're several hundred feet in the air
Solution: Cover up the bottom sensors with tape (Or print this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4104106) or make the string longer in length
Problem 2: The bottom cover for the drone is loose or the drone cannot takeoff
Solution: Your payload weighs too much, try attaching something lighter
Problem 3: You're getting a "Propellers Rotating too Fast" error in the DJI Fly App
Solution: Go to DJI Fly Settings, Safety, Advanced Safety Settings, and enable "Payload Mode". Or just attach something lighter.
Problem 4: The undercarriage mount I 3D printed is sliding around!
Solution: This is normal, the mount is designed to do this to protect your drone from damage when removing the mount
Disclaimer
This kit, as well as any payloads you may attach, will put your drone's takeoff weight over 250 grams. If you're flying in the US, please make sure your drone is registered with the FAA before taking off. (It takes less than 10 minutes and only costs $5 USD!) You can register your drone here: https://faadronezone.faa.gov/
