Description
Adapted this x axis cable chain in order to fit my Eryone Thinker SE, in direct drive mode. Support 1 has wider holes to fit the carriage, and Support 2 is taller in order to keep the cable chain level
I used 17 chain elements for my setup, of which the last two towards the extruder are reversed in order to remove some bending of the cables

After converting my printer to direct drive, I kept a piece of the bowden extruder together with the ptfe tube: this kept the cables going to the hotend rigid, and most importantly higher than the carriage.
The downside with this setup is that my filament runout sensor triggered much earlier than needed, wasting an entire bowden tube's length woth of useable filament.
I decided to move the sensor on top of the dd extruder, but this meant I had to remove the ptfe tube: now the cables would hang much lower over the print bed, becoming a possible print tipping hazard.
For this reason I made this cable chain, tidying everything up and keeping the cable level
