Cable Tag - Fully Customisable

Parametric model, change the attributes to suit your cable, cable tie, label size etc. Printing in various colors may help with organization too.

I use Dymo brand tape labels and wanted an easy way to adjust tag for label and cable size. While a simple tag with a hole in it would do, I wanted the tag to always stick out at 90 degrees to the cable for ease of reading.

Some design considerations I had to make:

• I had to shorten the attachment point of the tag to the cable as if it was the full height of the tag it would sick out and potentially dig in to the cable if it was bent back in toward the attachment point.

• I wanted to be able to label both sides.

• Although the attachment point would have looked aesthetically better in the center of the tag, it would have to print with supports. So it is at the bottom for ease of printing and to help it adhere better to the print bed.
