Description
If you have a CR-Touch, the Satsana remixes that have the integrated BLTouch mount will NOT work! The position of the wiring connector is right between the 2 mounting screws. This is also for the Ender 3 V2 using the Micro Swiss Direct Drive.
I remixed this because I don't like using a printed mounting bracket for the ABL probe. When printed on its back, the layers are not in an ideal orientation to take shear loads (however small) that the probe will impose on the mount.
This uses the steel bracket that came with your CR-Touch. You will need the bracket for the original Ender 3 that comes with the ABL kit (see pictures). You simply sandwich the steel bracket between the carriage and this shroud, there are recesses in the model.
There is a version for lowered ducts, as the Micro Swiss hot end sits lower than the Creality original part. This is recommended, to stop the part cooling fan from aiming at the heater block.
In addition, I've left the outboard strain relief tab from the original Satsana model. This will not clash with the Micro-Swiss direct drive and I added holes for you to get a zip tie through.
I would orient it to where the back (the face against the carriage) is on the bed. Tree supports work best but make sure they are set to touching build plate ONLY. Otherwise the cooling passages will be blocked!
Resist the urge to print in PLA unless you are ok with it melting. PETG works, if you never print hotter than 240C. At 245C, my PETG version started drooping. Currently using polycarbonate with no issues (yes, it's overkill).
