Description

So I got a new phone with wireless charging, I had a charge pad, but I wanted to see the screen better whilst charging. This is the result of that.

Measurements are based on my phone (iPhone XS), but it should work with a large variety of phones since they are all pretty much the same slab of glass with side buttons now (pretty much).

The charger pad I have is a Spigen, basically square shaped. However, the design could accommodate larger models or round models. One note: my charge pad is a tad small and has very rounded corners, so it doesn't sit well. I used a little masking tape to hold it down - that works fine. If you have a supple cord, you could bend it beneath the stand.

This are two mirrored halves. You will need to glue them. I hate printing with supports, so I split the model and made the two halves. I did not bother to add alignment pins; just be careful with the glue up.

The model is rather thin - I wouldn't call this a robust design - but mine feels strong enough (and it cut down on printing time). Mine gets used every day ... and it has held up.

Is that a photo of a calculator?!?

Yes - The photo shows my calculator (HP 35s) in place of my phone (since my phone was the camera. The calculator is nearly the same size as my iPhone XS with a case ... just look at those beautiful buttons in all its RPN majesty!

Notes:

There is a little slot in the bottom of the stand. That is for hot glue or sugru or something to increase the friction on the stand and keep it from slipping around. The slot is in the wrong place - should be on the back foot, but that's what it is for. Frankly, I haven't filled my slot with anything - this is optional.
