Hearing Aid Desiccant

This is a desiccant puck designed for Phonak/Unitron hearing aid chargers, but it may fit other chargers. It uses just under 1m of filament, it’s reusable, and if you use rechargeable desiccant beads, it’s even more environmentally friendly (unlike the commercial pucks).

For those lucky enough not to know, hearing aids have to work in a harsh environment and keeping them dry lengthens their lifespan. And FYI: even cheap aids can be $3000 a pair.

Dimensions: 30 x 12 mm, holes are 1.5 mm. I used about 1 teaspoon (5ml) of these beads: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01I5Y2DG6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. The lid is press fit, with 3 different clearance options (pt05 is 0.05mm, pt10=0.10, pt15=0.15). If anybody needs a looser fit, the Fusion 360 file is included (or just message me).

No supports
Infill doesn’t matter
0.2 layer height
Iron all top surfaces (optional, but it makes the inside smoother)
Random seam position
Any filament (clear makes it easier to see the color of the beads)
Made on a Prusa MK3S+

You will also need a sharp, pointy thing (like a pin), because no matter how perfectly your machine is dialed in, you’re gonna get strings in those tiny holes.
