Description

Gel heart-shaped shaped wrist rests are often used with split ergonomic keyboards because they are accessible and relatively inexpensive.  This print wraps around the gel rest and allows for tilt and height adjustment using M6 screws and nuts.

There is an indentation on the underside of the holder for the M6 nut. This is intentionally a tight fit, so the nut and screw won't fall out when moving it around.
You might have to sink the nut into the print with a soldering iron if it's a bit small for your nuts.

There is an overhand, so I used supports when printing. I included my favorite support setting  in the gcode.

I tried this with cheap wrist rests from aliexpress, and the more expensive ones from amazon. As far as i can tell, they are both the same product. The packaging was the same from both vendors, with the model number “W-25” on the package. (They are sometimes called “Crystal Wrist Pads” or Kidney Wrist rests").

I'm using M6 grub screws because I've got magnetic feet attached to stick it to my desktop.
My magnetic foot design can be found here.
The grub screws can be called “set point cup screws”. Here's the specific screws I used. I got 20mm, 25,mm and 30mm.

You should be fine with just the grub screws, or plain old M6 bolts. (I initially tried M6 bolts, and plasti-dipped the heads for traction, but they still slipped around - hence the magnetic feet).

Let me know if you have any issues or would like to see any variants. (My fusion file is parameterized, so it should be easy to tweak).

Please post any prints - it makes me happy to see people using my work. :)

UPDATE - I added the parameterized .f3d file so you can tweak for other bolt sizes. Please post any remixes.

UPDATE 2: Another user pointed me to these excellent printable bolts:

I haven't tried them myself, but they look promising. Please drop a make if it works out for you.
